YesWeAre educate children and young people so that they can influence the society they live in, and to take action to improve their own and others living conditions.

YesWeAre’s goal is a global youth movement that drives change in countries around the world.

Educational Materials, Training, and Mentorship

The YesWeAre educational materials are available in both printed and digital formats. They are designed to be used anywhere, in a classroom with internet access, a computer, and a projector, or in a school under a tree, or with a football team on a playing field.

The materials are built around dialogue and conversation in groups of children and young people, divided into the age groups 4-7, 8-12, and 13-20. The materials can be used in a wide range of settings, including schools or sports clubs. 

YesWeAre trains leaders and teachers who then work with the YesWeAre concept and materials. We also serve as mentors for young people who, through groups or clubs, want to engage in advocacy and create change in their schools, their communities, and ultimately their countries.

Ages 4-7

At this stage, we work and explore emotions, taking turns, mine and yours, the importance of telling the truth, issues of discrimination, and what it means to be a good friend. Through simple, relatable questions, children are invited to reflect and discuss: Can I push someone off the swing just because I want a turn? Can I go first in the lunch line if I’m very hungry? Can I take food from someone else’s bag just because it looks tasty? Each lesson is built around a real-life dilemma that the children work together to solve, followed by conversations about the consequences of different choices.

Ages 8-12

We continue working with the questions we explored with the youngest children and also discuss rights and responsibilities, discrimination, threats, bribery, favoritism, nepotism, and fraud in the children’s everyday lives. The children reflect and reason together to find different solutions. Which solutions affect me and others in a positive way in the long term? What consequences can different choices of behavior lead to?

Ages 13-20

The questions from the lessons with the younger children are also included in these lessons. Here as well, we begin with situations from the youths’ everyday lives and then expand the discussions to the community and national level. Many group activities are included, where the young people work on how they can change everyday life for themselves and for others. The focus is on rights and responsibilities, the consequences of different choices of behavior, and issues such as threats, discrimination, and corruption..

YesWeAre is a fundraising foundation that carries out its work through donations and grants from institutional donors, companies, and private individuals. As a fundraising foundation, we are required to ensure that at least 75% of all funds are directed toward program activities.

In 2026, at least 95% of YesWeAre’s costs will go directly to our mission.
